Should I...

Get a clarion deck from the zeb, or get a dave navone converter, keep the stock deck and get a US acoustics 50X2 amp...either of them would be powering a pair of 5X7 Polk DB coaxials.

If you're getting the deck for the features, then get the deck. Throwing 50W from a US Acoustics isn't really a big step up in SQ, but it's plenty of power. I personally would just get the HU if you like the features it has...other wise go the other route...but gt better than UsA if you can afford to. :D

Hmm. Thats funny, all i have heard from people on this board is how good US acoustics is (taking price into consideration). I know its not JL, Alpine, or other high end amps...but I think it will suit my needs.

It's decent for the price...it's definitely better than Sony or Dual, but it's not spectacular. If it's in your budget then it's a hard bargain to pass up...but if you have the money, then I would venture a little higher up the ladder to Alpine's MRP-T220. Their estimated price on that is 130$, but I'm sure you can get it for less.

especially with something like an amp. you're gonna be spending thesame on wiring/install .etc anyway. what's a couple bucks for doing it right? Get and amp you like not one that "oh it'll work fine"
I can't believe Servo didn't tell you to check Eclipse amps too. (unless firsty's been getting to him)

I woudl get a deck. I like the features, performance adn looks on a deck better than the stock unit. I would also suggest getting a better amp. I woudl say JL. I like there amps. They sound good, are underrated, look good, and have nice features (crossovers and such).

Yeah Yeah...I know. I really can't say enough good things about my Eclipse, but I'm not sure that I'm setting the gains right and all. I should be getting about 120W out of it but the speakers just sound too loud with that much power. Maybe I'm not measuring something right. Also...the Eclipses are a bit more expensive than the bottom line Alpines. It sounded like he was on a little more of a budget.

--EDIT--
On topic...get a deck if you need the features, but do take note that it makes your car a target for theft, while no one really want to steal a Stock HU. :p
