Maybe you should get an MSP and then invite them to an autox and see how great they are. Seriously, if you think the SRT-4 is ugly, don't get one just so you can hang with these guys who really don't matter. There's always gonna be someone faster. If you get a 12 second car there's going to be some guy running 11's and you'd be saying that you want to give him a run for his money. In the world of 4 cylinder turbo performance the SRT-4's will still get owned by any number of DSM's out there, and there's always the V8 guys around to make the SRT-4 owners feel pretty small too.

Don't buy a car to show someone else up, or give them a run for their money. Buy the car that you're going to like. Which car would you enjoy riding in the most? You have to consider the entire driving experience, not just mashing the gas from a stoplight. You can cruise the strip in an MSP and have a much better sound system to bump, you can head up to the mountains and have a much better time with the awesome handling. Or you could drive around an ugly car and go fast from a stoplight.
your right speed is not everything if all i wanted was speed i would buy one of those ugly evo's or sti's those things are fast but ugly i dont care for speed that much to buy one of those ugly things i guess i will get the msp

Well, I hadn't mentioned the STi or the EVO because that's a different price bracket, by quite a bit. I don't like the look of the STi either (had a WRX wagon and a 2.5RS coupe), EVO looks alright, but it's a lot of money for a DSM in a more updated form.

I don't even have an MSP yet, so I can't sing it's praises entirely, I can only speak from what I've picked up here and from countless reviews and trips to the dealerships. I think a lot of people here have seriously considered the SRT-4, but have picked the MSP because it's more of the "total package" as some others have mentioned, and it can be had for at least $3k less than an SRT-4.

I think you'll still love the MSP if you decide to buy one. I've considered everything up to about the price of an STI, and in the end I'll spend about half of what an STI would cost me, and probably enjoy it just as much.
