Short Shifter Shift Boot Size Help???

Hey everybody!! I recently installed a TWM short shifter in my Pro5 and now im in the market for a custom shift boot to fit it and my Greddy Shift knob. My question is when ordering a custom boot how much shorter do i want the boot to be? I know the twm site says the height reduction of the shifter is 2" but is that how short i want my boot? I figure someone out there has a TWM with a custom shift boot. What sizes are you going with??? Im going to have Redline make it so lets here some opinions and ill show pics when its complete???

You may find the attached photo of the stock shift lever and an MSP shift lever next to a measuring tape helpful. When your TWM shifter arrives, measure it and you'll be able to guess the right shift boot dimensions.

I had Redline make my boot 1.8" shorter than stock, although I'm running an MSP lever (which I lengthened 1.5") and an MSP knob. I know it's different from your setup, but maybe the info will help.

Here you go, dude. If you have TWM, this should most definitely work for you.

They sell kits with the shifter, boot, and bushings... but you can also jsut get the boot that is made to size.

i had redline make a custom boot 2" shorter than stock to fit my b&m shifter. its perfect

i was thinking 2" is how much shorter I would have Redline make mine, but then i didnt know if that would be too short for the twm?? Isnt the Kartboy short then the TWM?? So 2" might be too short for my setup? Im also having them put a ring or something around the top so it lines up with my knob.

The TWM one is only like $50.

I got my boot from TWM actually. It's worked out pretty well, but the TWM knob is pretty long / deep

EDIT: for the record, I also have the TWM shifter.

lol, i never thought a custom shift boot would be such a hard thing to have made? i just wanna make sure it looks sweet when complete, not to short, not too long, and lines up with my knob perfectly etc.

i ordered black leather with 4 panels and white stiching. 2" shorter for the twm and it suppose to come to the same size as my Greddy counterweight knob. i cant wait to get it.
