Short Rams for 2005 6s?

Hi guys, I have a very hard time digging up short rams for the 2005 Mazda 6s. Even the AEM website doesn't list it that I can find - the one I have found is Weapon-R intakes (http://www.prostreetonline.com/store/intake/weapon_r_intakes/) and I understand that K&N can be converted from CAI to short ram, but that that performance is poor.

I did look at CAIs, like Injen and CP-E (costly, but looks good!), but I'm wary about using them in Michigan weather.

Thanks,
James

The CP-E MAFci is expensive because it is a kit that includes induction piping and a MAF Customizer with an A/F tune. That's why it is able to make so much gains over other CAIs. At the end of the day, it is cheaper overall than getting a 3" induction pipe, getting say a SAFCI, and dyno tuning it. IMHO, it's totally worth the price.

If you're worried about hydrolock, I can testify that I've had over 35,000 miles with the MAFci. I've driven with it through snow, slush, rain, nor'easters, tropical storms, etc. with nary a hiccup.

BTW Don't get the Weapon-R SRI. I've personally seen that SRI, and the quality is not so good. One guy who had it said that it kept popping out of the silicone connector at the throttle body.

Alright thanks - I'll look into the CP-E, and see how it goes - if an Injen filter can fit on it, I'll see about getting their new HydroShield item as well - peace of mind :)

Thanks for the tips guys!

I have the MAFci on both of our 6S's, you do not need the hydroshield, as we live in NE Ohio, where we have rain, snow, etc. No problems, whatsover.
