where exactly in the county are you?

i live in montgomery, got my MS3 from Compass in middletown. haven't had them do any work for me tho, so i don't have any feedback on their service dept. not that you'd likely want to take it to a dealer for mod work anyway...

the place i go to is right around the corner from me on rt 211 between montgomery and middletown. Becker's automotive. they've been pretty good with me, then again i've only had them do a couple oil changes and plug a tire when i managed to pick a nail up in one. haven't had them do any custom work like it sounds you're planning on. they usually have a couple old mustang fastbacks in the shop tho, which look mildly modified, so i'd imagine they wouldn't have a problem doing what you need them to.

i've also used hudson vally auto in walden before, but something about that place just didn't sit well with me.

i live in newburgh-wallkill right near the golds gym over there.. so it seems that we are actually pretty close to each other hahah.. and yeah i got my car from compass too...did you have problems with them? because i had a lot of problems with them and so did someone else with a speed3 around us

i can check those places out thanks you...

anyone else with other inputs though?

no, i actually had a pretty good time dealing with them. what kind of problems did you run into?

the only thing i can recall being of an issue was realizing that they had claimed the car's mileage to be 14.5 when i bought it instead of the actual 100 miles that were already on the car. they probably 'accidentally' read it from the trip odometer. no point in trying to do anything about it by the time i realized it when i got home.

the salesman pretty much indirectly asked me/my dad for a tip multiple times...and they were very unorganized

I haven't had any issues with Compass. The sales process wasn't better or any worse then any other car sales experience. Their service and parts department have been easy to work with. They installed a SRI on my MS3. I haven't taken the car anywhere else as of yet since I'm still under warranty. They have a sweet Mazdaspeed 3 display going on right now in their parts area. So far the car has held up well as we do a lot of driving around here and I've had it serviced at Compass every time.

yes but i dont want a dealer installing a tbe for me! lol
