Anyone from here run in the Shoppingtown Autox? I was looking through some pictures and saw silver protege, just wonder who it was.

Ah, I figured it was you. How'd you do? The guy who posted the pictures had a white subaru rs(?) I think.

placed 6th in STS a little more than 2 seconds from 1st place. There were many subaru's there that day. You planning on coming out to the next event?

ha yeah, I guess a bunch of NASOIC guys showed up, so it'd be tough to narrow him down, lol. Sixth isn't bad at all, hell they probably wouldn't even put me on the score sheet, lol. I would like to try an autox one of these days, especially after I get my struts/springs insalled. You have to be a SCCA member to participate right?

On a side note, JerseyEMT said he was planning a MTMA meet in the hudson valley area this summer, would be great to get a caravan of us Central/Western/Northern NY guys together to head down.

Nope you don't have to be a a SCCA member to participate. You just pay a little bit more at each event. The trip to hudson valley sounds like fun. It just depends whether my schedule allows it. Is that info going to be posted in the New York forums?

ah I see, I'll have to keep my head up for the next event. I plan on redoing my springs + rear bar, I think that would bump me up into a different class? I seem to remeber it was based upon vehicle/mods and not skill?

JerseyEMT just posted it up the other day, but I assume it'll be made public in the main events forum as well as the NY one as soon as he gets the details squared away.

Hopefully this will be something that gets the northern ny proteges in gear!

Nope wasn't me. Not many proteges around with roof racks anyways so it COULD have been me but not today. haha

Yup thats me... Silver P5, roof rack, tints from back door around (no tints on the driver side nor passenger)... R.P.D got the new tint guns and have been going on a search and destroy mission... P5 always has the headlights / fog lights on... and lets not forget the "Boom , Boom , Boom"...lol

I would love to show up , but "lucky me" have to deal with my father-in-law, coming from Houston for the next 3 and a half weeks (Great..) anyone gotta spare room I could crash in...lol

I'm gona have to start looking around for a spot for my sig, before you get to it.... options at this point are:
a) Peter Pauls
b) Ft. Ricky
c) Lowes / Home Depot
d) Nicky Doodles
e) or the Savoy

Ah sorry Crazy D, it was a silver sedan I saw not a p5, but I've got my eyes out for ya man!

Those are some good ideas, hadn't thought about those before. Lowes in Rome has a nice semi-circular brick retaining wall which is a great background. There's always Delta lake, Sylvan Beach, and the Westernville "mountains" too. I like nickidoodles because at leats there will be some good foods, lol. Anywho, I put up some of my spots I've used before as an idea too. Let me know if you ever wanna go out, sometimes I go with a tight-knit, quality, import group in CNY and they hang and always have great spots for pictures.

By the way the silver Protege with the roof rack sleeps a block from Blackriver Blvd rignt next to Franklin Field... and as far as P5's in Rome... I think I'm the only one that has one...there was a guy that worked at Turning Stones that had a black one... havn't seen him around for a while

Yeah, that's exactly where I saw the protege, over by franklin. I've seen one yellow one, works on Flyod Ave, and the other is a black p5 that's modded who's on this forum.

I work @ Met in Oriskany... don't do much of driving around in Rome, (point a to point b)... City truck ?... U know Gooch ? Jim Campanaro ? works for the City...

Gooch, he works down at the DPW and drives the "Honey Wagon" I believe. I don't know him personally, but I've seen him around. Jim Campanaro sounds familiar, but I can't put a face with then name. haha, small world!

Any luck on a background? Weather has been pretty bad lately though.
