Got rid of my SHO today... pointless thread, but I wanted to vent. I miss that car already. Oh well.

When you're spending much more on repairs than mods I'd be hard pressed to disagree.

I miss mine too (a 1993 model). :(

BTW, to all you a***s dissing him becuase of his maintainence (I don't know what was happening, but I am guesing routine maintainence), you just have to find the right places to get the parts (the engine is the only problem, but there are sources such as the SHO Shop and Cincy SHO for example) and have some mechanical aptitude.

What's up bro?

My friend had a 97 SHO and he too had to give it up when it was spending more time with the wheels off the ground than on.

You gonna come to the meet this friday? I had a great time last week, everyone was cool and we went to dinner at the Quarterdeck. Plus, it won't be so freaking cold tomorrow night hopefully.

Yah! I was hoping to make it to meet up with you guys, but the used cars manager wanted to come by my house to look at the 1970 Buick Skylark GS 455 in my garage because he was interested in buying from my dad. I was somewhat active in the online SHO community and bought a few things from the online retailers, but steering rack was shot and thanks to my brother, I'm pretty sure it had spun a bearing. Regular maintenance on the SHO was easy and the engine it great (which is why it's coming back on the V8 XC90), but the rest of the car was still a Ford.

I had a 1995 SHO. It was great until the motor took a s***. It was never right after that. By the way, it blew 6 miles over the warranty and Ford were assh****. It was a problem with the motor too and not any mods or racing . I actually had taken it in for a coolent leak a couple hundred miles earlier and that's what caused the motor to blow, but I still had an incredible fight with them to pay for it. I finally got approximately half of it paid for. I swore never to own another Ford after that.

yupyup... The only things I really like about the car was the one thing that Ford didn't build. The Mazda transmission was geared beautifully and the Yamaha motor are a great pair.
