Shifter shake in first gear.

Hey guys I just Picked up my MS3 yesterday and as I was driving home I noticed that while in first gear I could feel the shifter shaking pretty bad at times. Some times it normal and other times it really shakes under normal driving when you start the car moving. You can't Eye ball it but you can defiantly feel it. I was guessing that maybe it is just the stock shifter bushings. Give me some feed back on this. I've searched and only seen posts about the stock shifter bushings sucking for some people but never heard them say that the first gear shakes. I have a feeling that its nothing major though.

If the shifter bushings suck, it will shake in all gears, especially one that is torque intensive and used for pulling away and such (like first gear)

3rd gear has some vibes to it as well but nothing out of the norm. Well at least in IMO my cobalt ss had some shake to it in 3rd gear as well. Owell i'll either do the free mod or get the aftermarket ones to clean it up.

save yourself some heartache and just go back to the dealership and have them fix it.

x2, especially since if there is an actual problem, they'll more than likely do it under warranty

So I'm guessing that your shifter doesn't shake in first gear then? Alrighty Back to the dealer i go. My car got deliverd in CT and was driven and preped down to me in long island so it showed up with 119 miles on it. wonder if they some how managed to beat on it within that amount of time?

Back in May mine came from central Wisconsin to southern Indianapolis, about 275 miles. I'm happy at 10k miles now, but I have no doubt the guy who overnight delivered it was midnight running all out at some point. I don't blame him if he did, and I don't really care; it's the car, you can't help it.

Mine doesn't shake and neither did my first MS3. I have about 11,000 miles total miles.

if it was poping out of gear i would thik somehthing of it but its not. and it not all the time maybe like a 60/40 split 60 good 40 shake.
