Shifter Bushings

I recently purchased a new short shifter for my car, the TWM one for like 150. My question is I ordered some grease and new polyurethane shifter bushings with it. I know the install of the short shifter is fairly simple but I'm not sure where exactly those bushings go exactly? Is it somewhere on the stick? Any advice would help out, thanks! Also where should I be applying the grease exactly? On the little ball joint thing?

Bushings go on the shift rod when uunder the car by the tranny you'll see the end of the rod that has a round piece with round rubber bushings like the blue ones put together just the oem ones are black. Unbolt the rod there and remove bushing install new bushing but add grease to said bushing before install. Then reinstall

Okay in case anyone is thinking of exchanging there shifter bushings. I just installed my short shifter, and was confused as to where the bushings go. For any noobs like me, if you follow your shifter you can see at the bottom there are two rods leading from the stick to the trans. The rod that is not connected to the shifter is the one that has the bushings on the end of it. You'll have to follow it toward the front of the car where it connects to the trans and youll see a circular rubber peice with a 14 mm bolt holding it. Also the rubber stock bushings is one whole piece together, therefore its a PITA to take off. I couldnt get it off but I'm going to try it again today. From what I read you can either cut it and separate it or you can pinch in on it slowly and push it through. Just lettting ya'll know in case someone didnt know what they were doing, like me.

I did this recently with the CorkSport polyurethane bushings. To remove the OEM rubber bushing, I stuck a screwdriver between the bracket and the outside of the bushing and just pried it out in one piece.

Thats what i did and worked like a charm
