I have been emailing back and forth with www.lentechautomatics.com and they say that their valve bodies that they make for the focus will work on our tranny and the 12,000 GVWR tranny oil cooler will work on our tranny but to get the 12,000 unit you pretty much hafta call them to place the order because its not on their site.

I only recently heard of s*** kits from a party a couple nights ago, and I was talking to this ME (well, almost about to graduate as one) and we went through a lot of topics about the future of automotives, and the shift kit definitely was something of interest. I don't believe he knows that I have a tiptronic, so I got the impression that shift kits would help shorten the gap between me and mtx people. Then again if I left my car in drive with this thing, it would probably do better than me "manumatically" shifting it.

Im trying to talk to them about modifying theirs to fit the three but they still arent giving in. I know they make really good quality stuff too so im definitely gettin the V-bodies and the cooler once the funds are here
I dont really know exactly what a shift kit is but the only people ive really herd talking bout shift kits are country boys with trucks, not implying that you are one, just saying that it might be some kind of term country boys use for valve bodies.
goldwing2000 said:Shift kits make the car shift firmer and with less clutch slippage. This is usually done by opening up specific internal passages in the valve body or changing specific springs (usually on the accumulator) or removing or changing the position of specific check balls within the valve body.
The parts and installation are usually very simple but it takes a lot of time and research to develop the kit.
Would one help the Mazda3 tranny? Maybe. But since everything is electronically controlled, it also may not help much.
Will one ever be made? Probably not. Mazda has a very limited market share when it comes to performance accessories, so the chances of a shift kit are slim.
