Sermons from Mosques in Great Britain

Excellent. I really hope you get to watch it. I await you analysis. :)

So I finally watched the whole thing from start to finish. Here's some of my thoughts.

This documentary/report does not in ANY WAY, change my current perceptions of Islam, or Muslims that I encounter everyday. I still hold my personal belief that a TRUE BELIEVER (of ANY FAITH) is at peace with him/herself and towards others.

The overall theme of this video to me, is NOT about the radicalism expressed in it, but that of a government-sponsored extremist movement to control the world, funded by LOTS AND LOTS of oil money.

To me, the speeches collected in this video feels more like political propaganda masked as religious beliefs than anything else. I lost count how many times the words 'power' and 'dominance' are used. Feels eerily like Nazi and Communist propagandas during WWII/Cold War.

I've only watched the first 10 min of this. It makes me wonder about the moslims in the US. These people follow a child rapist, mohammed! Married a 9 year old and it's ok by their religion? I guess you can find them on kiddy porn sites spanking the monkey yelling Mohammed is great!(321fu) (loser)

way to contribute, ass. Back then marriage of 8-9 year old girls was common long before Mohammed came along. It was also common among Christians too. Infact, Catholic priests still have sex with young boys to this day. yeah it's sick, but you can't pin it on 1 person or religion.

Lets keep it friendly fellas, this is how flame wars start.

Religion is the Root Cause for most problems in the World today and through history.

All parties are guilty at one time or another. Right now it's the Muslims, couple thousand years ago it was the Christians. Hundred years from now it will be the Scientologists..LOL...or some wacked out religious freaks.

OK. I did not take that into consideration. I'll be the first one to say I was wrong. Maybe listening to that got my blood pressure up a little and I only got thru 10 minutes of it! Although, using Catholic priests as a point doesn't work. As you point out, back in time it was not seen as wrong. The raping of children by Catholic priests is wrong and not accepted....just covered up.

I certainly am not a wacked out religious freak thank you very much. A couple of thousand year ago, we didn't know what we know now. We were no where near as civilized or educated, heck we didn't even have indoor plumbing. The world was much more wild and savage back then. Theres really no excuse for this manner barbarism or uncivility nowadays. We know better.

As much trouble as "fanatical" religion has caused in the past, I also believe that Religion has been the catalyst for some of the most noble, selfless and helpful actions in the world. The mouths that have been fed, the people that have been saved, the children that have been cared for, the financial donations that have been given my religious groups who care and who want to make a ositive difference in what can be a cold world has been phenomenal.

I sure that the Muslims in that video are not reflective of all muslims but as I stated earlier, this isn't a closet group of extremists operating out of the shadows, these are mainstream mosques and popular leaders speaking these vile things with support from their peers in politics and the support of a great number of muslims.

Bingo! No one is supporting the the Catholic Priest molestation of Children. Its vile and unacceptable and anyone involved in covering it up should face the consequences it entails.

But Smooth you gotta keep it under control. Keep your cool. It can be frustrating but keep your calm.

not local politics

as you can see in the video, it is money and people funneled in by Saudi Arabia (who is supposedly an ally to the US and AFAIK UK as well, maybe we should rethink that alliance hmm?), the video showed plenty of LOCAL moderate Muslims denouncing the Wahadi sect that the Saudis are POURING MONEY on trying to export.

again, to me it's more political than anything else. It's powermongering in the name of God/Allah/Yaweh/choose your favorite higher being

my thoughts as well...

so what should be done about it? does it pose a threat? What is the responsibility of the larger muslim community in all this? Is is not their problem?

they could if they have the resources (ie MONEY) to counter it.

but what random middle-class Muslim living in UK have the money to fight against oil-rich kings and princes in Saudi Arabia.....

easier said than done

and yes, it is a threat if left untreated... and that is what this documentary is aimed to do, uncovering the covert infiltration activities by the Saudis into UK Muslim community

so what should be done about it? Americans cant launch a war on a religion, we can however occupy countries in the area if such a threat arises...(hmm I think we are right now). Honestly we cant do anything that wouldnt bring us down to there level, so... we wait.

does it pose a threat? Until I see our home soil invaded via camel or tank, i'd say No.(enguard) occasional attacks are another thing.

What is the responsibility of the larger muslim community in all this? Is is not their problem? If there is a larger amount of them against this...Most likly not. So there only problem is the minority of followers in non muslim nations. If they dont consider those muslems below them anyway for living with infadels.

Have you watched the videos? Whats your opinion?
I was too tired to post last night after watching it, and haven't had more than 5 minutes today to get online. But as one of the only Muslims on the forum, i will promise you I will sit down tonight and write a response tonight.

Didn't say you were. Paranoid? LOL

We may, they do not. See my point?

True...but this is is a huge price to pay for that. This is a Religion based war ...the War on Terror.
