Me too! All except the... paid off part. But ditto on the rest! :D

honestly, the reason they didn't want my Sundance is because the mile thing only turned on special occasions... :D

lol, "the mile thing" we call them odometers :D

garretts, how does your carmax treat you? the ones here in chicago are not the greatest places to shop/work :( we had a ton of them and a bunch closed up shop or got bought out

Looking to buy a P5.....

Really - can't find what i am looking for up here in Boston. sunroof, ABS, side airbags, stick, cloth seats - no black or yellow - not really excited about white either.

So if you really want to sell (or know anyone else) have them drop me a line.

I'm toying with the idea of selling.. and I was wondering what kinda prices those of you that sold, got for yours?

I just sold mine...it was a loaded 03 with 34k on it, no mods. Got 14k for it.
Check www.kbb.com for prices (kelly blue book). It will help ya alot! Goodluck!

What's with everyone selling their P5's lately? Do you guys always trade cars every 2 years?

In theory, you could get one with ABS/SAB without leather, but you'll be hard-pressed to find one. All the P5s with ABS/SAB I've ever seen have leather interior (including mine!).

Nope....usually keep the cars till they drop. Just got sick of constant problems and wanted something better...also that could get around in NY winters without sliding all over....regardless of tires.

the 2002 first run like mine have ABS and side airbags as leather was not an option until 2002.5

2003, ABS/SAB, CLOTH, 6-disc, moonie, etc.................and "Slapstick" auto. boo.
Although, it's also only got 15,500 miles on the clock and was purchased brand-spankin' new in November of '02.

It isn't bad. I am pretty new there, only a couple of months. And I have no previous sales experience except for retail... You are kind of left alone. It is sort of a self motivational type environment. If you don't try, then you wont make any money. I only work there part time. I can imagine that I would go in there shooting if I had to do it full time, but that is just because I am not a "sales-ey" kind of guy. I am pretty laid back. I will help you look and show you what is there, but I don't try to "sell" anything. This approach has been working for me though. Once people realize that I am not like the high pressure guy that they just worked with at the auto mall, they usually buy something from me. The store (well Carmax in general) is definately not going anywhere. They are opening up more and more stores all over the place. Right now in LA, there are 5, but they are aiming at like 15 in the next two years. They are on the Fortune top 100 companies to work for. And as an example of pay, I only work part time, but I made $375 tonight in 3 hours...

yeah I was living at home so I paid mine off in 9 months, no car payments for 10 months then it was totalled. thankfully though I was able to get this one "straight cash, b****!" :D not having a car payment is so nice... now if I could just figure out a way to make student loans go away too (rofl)

I cut the monthly payment into quarters then add a little more, and I send payments every week. There are several 5 week months, so each of those months add an extra payment. I did some rough math, and for every 4 months that I pay, I get ahead by a month. By the end of the year, I'll be 4 months ahead. Also, since the money is coming in faster, more of it goes towards the principle because I'm not letting the interest build for the full month. I'm doing this for both my student loans and my wife's loans and I've already seen a noticable drop in total debt.
I also did this for my credit card and within 4 months, they started to raise the limit to try and coax me into spending more.

I have 0% for my 48 months... so interest isn't a problem for me. I pay only the required amount. :D

I've toyed with the idea of selling mine too. (Ironically I bought it exactly two years ago today.) The car still looks flawless, I have had 0 problems, pay 0% interest and owe only around $7000 and that's what makes me still hang on to her. (lol2) But normally around every 2 years I start to itch for a new car.

Yeah, I dumped the ZX3 after exactly two years, so this car has about 1 year left if I were to keep stride. But I got this car with 17 miles and I know that I got rid of this car, I would NEVER have anything like it. Even if I bought another one, it wouldn't be the same as being the only owner. A 2 yrs limited production, has that effect on you. I can wait on a Mazda3 because they are gonna be around for a long time, the P5's gonna be vintage soon enough!
