Second lock press and oem horn sound.

How can I get rid off the horn notification (all doors locked) sound made on second press of the oem remote button?

Should I mess around with oem keyless entry to fix this?

I got the oem keyless entry integrated with my alarm system.

Right now when i enable the "knock here paging driver" from my alarm's remote button, the horn makes a sound like the notification (that all doors are lock) sound produced when pressing the oem remote twice.

Any ideas/thought?

Thanks.

Bypass the keyless entry and grab the wires for the actuators. Diodes may work to but I have no clue how it is wired. i haven't played with those wires.

Well i still want to use the oem remote beside the alarm lcd remote. It is one tool to test the door trigger. Since the alarm is integrated with oem keyless entry i could still use the oem remote just to lock or unlock doors but not to arm or disarm the alarm.

Sometimes when i hang out with friends, I let them go to the car first and open the door with oem remote.
That is the best time to test the door trigger.....:-)

eaiset way to eliminate it is take it to a dealer or someone with a scantool and tell them to take that option off of the user settings in the ECU. believe it or not, you can change some options like the horn beep and light flash through the ECU. That way no cut wires or rigged up fixes.

not that it matters in the least bit but couldn't this kid have turned the sensitivity all the way down...when i do that my stock alarm is basically useless when the car is bumped. if i turn it all the way up the rain sets it off...again it doesn't really matter anyway, 2 years old...bah

Wrong thing...he was talking about the fact that when you hit the lock button on the remote, the car honks the horn the 2nd time.

Simply solution of course is to not hit it twice...hitting it once will still arm the alarm.

you guys need to get a life.....So do I....*walking off to school*

j/king!!
But as many said, don't press it twice.
