Seat covers & Side airbags?

Hello all!
I have a dilemma
Im not feelin the gray and blue seat interior in the p5's and I really like these seat covers I found on eBay. But my car has side airbags. Does anyone know if i can still put seat covers over the front seats? Will the airbags be able to deploy correctly if they ever needed to?

If you put seat covers over the airbags they will not deploy properly in the event of a crash. They may deploy between the seat cover and seat, or will tear the seat cover and open somewhat, but either way don't expect to get any protection from them if you cover them.

Stupid question...How do I know if I have side airbags?

On the outside/window side of the front seats there will be a small emblem/plastic thingy that has a symbol on it...Plus If you look under the seats there will be a large orange plastic wire connector in addition to the small black wire connector...The orange is the airbag wire

I suppose you could try to get creative and slit the seatcover at the right area and then have it held back together by a wisp of velcro or a few very weak stitches. Should work "better", but hard to say for sure.

btw SRS is for the airbag in front of the passenger seat in the dash isnt it?

haha dont think mine does either, but its all good if you seen a side airbag from the seat come out, isnt too much of a difference lol pretty weak actually

Wet Okole Covers are the only ones made with holes pre-made for the Side-Impact Airbags...But you're looking at $250 bucks for the front seats alone...I'm saving up for them...cause they are the best covers out there..

Wet Okole is amazing! Had em in the Jeep and you could jump in em soakin wet and wouldn't soak through! Loved having em at the beach!!

They have a protege on their website with them installed and they look pretty nice...It's hard to justify the price, but they are 100% the BEST you can get....Maybe I should just get them and not look back....I need an update to the interior, and I have a credit card.....hmmmm....bad desicion in the process of fullfilling...
