Searching the Country on Craigslist

Has anyone much used the search engines for looking at all cities on Craigslist? The one I'm using is

If you enter, say, Protege5 Rims, you get back all matching hits. Pretty good, but wonder if anyone has a way to sort by zip codes or proximity or state search, etc. to really grab just your regional cars & parts?

just search the 3 major cities in your area or whatever.... all you have to do is change the city name in the URL....

Yeah I guess I'm lazy and want it to sort it like on eBay by distance. If it's a rare part, I may consider it from ANYWHERE (if I can trust the guy)

Some guys do try to sell local before trying eBay due to the fees. So you might be able to get first dibs (knowledge anyway) on stuff that does get ultimately ebayed, with the corresponding feedback ratings protection.

Or you can just go to google

Type in what you want and then add craigslist

Works for me.

Problem is, when people list on CG they don't provide their zip. so the best you could do would be the central zip of the city hosting the CG listing

That's why Craigslist is great for LOCAL sales!!

You can select which cities you want using it. I've used it a little bit and it works.

www.crazedlist.org lets you search a variety of cities. You have to turn something off in your web browser, but it works really well...
