Does anyone know how to touch up scrapes on painted wheels? I don't know if the aluminum under the paint will oxidize and change color. I'd like to touch them up before that happens.........thanks!
If you chip the clearcoat it may start peeling especially if you drive in salt-covered roads. Other than that, alloys won't rust. If you look on the inside of the wheel, it is completely unfinished and is unaffected.
There are places that refinish alloy wheels. My neighbor just had his BMW factory alloys redone and they look brand new.
