Scott's Spicy New *Fresh* Look (preview)

this is the spicy.. have some big plans for this bad boy.. a lot of them are new/original to the mazda scene.. just wanna try something new with this car and have some fun..

here are some pics of what the plan is.. it will all be done by april/may ready for the summer months

wheel setup:
CCW LM20s 17x9 +38 with 3" polished lips front and back. the tires are 205/40/17 Falken Azenis RT-615 with Neo Chrome ARP wheel bolts and Project Kics Neo Chrome lug nuts.

heres basically the EXACT setup (wheel and lip size, and full polish) but with CCW classics instead of LM20s

heres a civic with the wheels and the stance im going for (maybe a TOUCH less negative camber)

and heres the Neo Chrome wheel bolts and lug nuts on a full polished wheel. should look wicked with the orange paint

on the white civic (with the Kics lugs)

Project Kics R40 lugs

NEXT is...
a fully collage'd out lip kit, front 03.5 lip, side skirts, and 03 rear lip with shaved exhaust cutout

the exhaust tip will be removed and a turndown tip added on so it sits just inside the lip. then the cutout will be shaved to clean up the rear end with no exhaust tip. next will be a shaved trunk of both spoiler and badges to add to the uber clean look.

I have yet to put the 03.5 front lip on the car so i decided to start my collage and set it on the see how it looked. pretty pumped with the results... sure is different and will have a distinct look when the sides and rear are done as well.

and then my lil buddy here..

after the lips are all complete, the Thule windscreen will be covered and the rear windshield will have some slogan stickers down the side.

basically the concept is to make a super clean car that is unique. it would be A LOT cleaner without the stickers as they are VERY busy... but i think all the colors in the stickers will bring out the rainbow in the lug nuts and bolts. should look pretty kick ass! the stickers might only last a season and the lips may be painted for next year... we'll see if the look gets old quick

im working on some photoshops with the wheels, stance, DGM grill, shaved trunk and rear lip, and wingless... they are coming soon. i may even try to photoshop the collage on the side skirts and rear lip.. see how that goes haha.

this thread is just for me to rant about new ideas (and photoshops) and post pics for people to see my progression...

I have always been a fan of the Yellow car...please don't do the sticker crap to the lips though...this isn't anything "new", but just following the trend of others doing it, and IMO it looks terrible...wheels and exhaust are fine...

i know a lot of people are going to be appalled.. but i think im going for that.. something different. and by different, i mean to our community. i know its been done before on this planet, its popular on euro cars and such, but never seen any of this done on a mazda. oh well

this will cause a lot of mixed emotions..

Part of me thinks it looks awesome. Another part of me thinks it looks like some decal thugs did a drive by stickering on your front lip...

What you should do is black out the trunk and collage it to match...

i dont want any cf on this car... no hood and/or trunk since i have soooo much on the yellow car. want something different and sick of the cf. dont want the whole car broken up into pieces.. want it all uniform and planned out. how do you mean exactly with the trunk being blacked out??? as the same look with cf?

i love the fogs in the lip... the fit is s*** right now because it isnt secured on there... just hanging there for an idea. the fogs look sick i think.. but your opinion is valued

No, I mean stickered/collaged like the front lip. There was an MX-6 in the "Post Best Pics of Your Mazda" thread (I think) and he had a camo (!) trunk with white/black/gray/his car color and it looked awesome. I'd find the pic, but I'm too lazy and the pics are blocked at work anyway.

Doing your trunk in the same fashion as the front lip would tie it all together, IMO. That, or do the rest of the ground effects in the same manner all the way around. The collage thing works, but it should appear in more than one place so that it's more of a loose "theme" as opposed to a random stikcering...
