Scion tC Sports Coupe TRD Supercharger

It's a start though; other than the Jackson-esqe types of s/c's for I4, there aren't many options. At least TRD is making in-roads. I'm sure an s/c on an engine other than that 2.4 would be good times. I wonder if it will end up in the xA/b (the s/c that is...<2.0L with an s/c...interesting).

It just seems like a hefty price tag. I understand the appeal of warranteed horsepower, but I would personally rather buy something aftermarket that was tuned for more horsepower.

BTW, does Scion say how fuel management is changed with the supercharger?

I think that Scion might have an easier time moving the superchargers if they came on one of their special editions with some suspension and appearance mods. Of course then they couldn't get away with $3,200 for just a supercharger.

you think thats a heafty price tag check out the Stillen SC for the Titan. $6k (omg). yes it is also CARB approved and keeps Nissans warranty and the SC itself but damn $6k. Also comes with piggyback, extra injectors, no drilling/cutting, comes with every little thing you could possibly need to install and run smoothly except tools.

The S/C Kit comes with 410cc Injectors (Stock is 372)
The ECU can actually handle Fuel management up to 10 PSI IIRC

Regardless though... I have better ways to spend the 5k it would cost to get the S/C fully installed and tuned. Warranty Shmarranty

:-) It's going to take more than $38 to get the SHO engine in there. Then you need the Vortech 12psi kit. :-D
Back on topic, I think that for the Scion line-up it would make more sense for Toyota to come up with a more youthful in-house tuning name. TRD is more professional and sits well with Toyota. That's why I propose that Scion's in house tuner be referred to as Toyota Urban Racing Development, aka. TURD.

WOW .... you really should get your money back from whomever told you that was new.
