saw my first five on the road today

Well, after picking the wife up at work, we saw our first five today, ever on the road, and believe me, we have been looking hard.

It killed two birds with one stone, as we wanted to see what the silver looked like, because it was a silver sport.
We did a uturn and tried to follow it, to ask what they thought of it. When we got to a long light, I signaled to open the window and the woman did.
There was a bit of a language barrier, as she could only speak mostly spanish, but she said she liked it a lot, and that her brother and her, both got one at the same time.
That was all the conversation I was going to get, but I got to see one on the road, and a color I was looking to see.
Just for a matter of point, I didnt like the silver all that well. I thought it would be a lot shinier, especially with the name mazda gives it. I like the silver the mazda 3 uses better, but still not that great imho. It sort of looked like it had a tint of yellow or grey mixed in. Anyway, it still looked good.

Stay safe

I don't know "Platinum Silver Metallic" is a pretty accurate description of the silver!! I notce that Mazda has dropped "stellar silvergreen" from the line up for 2007. that colour could hsve more accurately been called "snot-green-silver" yuck!!!

Not in the States it hasn't, at least according to mazdausa.com. Cardinal Red disappeared here.

There's a silver Mazda5 that lives two streets away from us. I figure my neighborhood must have the highest concentration of Mazda5s in the US...

I know stellar greensilver is a love it or hate color (it would seem) but can we hold off on the color choice bashing? (ps, I love it)

The platinum silver is a color for a few who likes it, also in the bright sun light it changes color. I like mine silver one but to each its own. Pick the one you like. P.S. i like the white also too! zoomzoom

i dont think i've seen a color i havent liked.
Oh and i love my Platinum....just waxed it for the third time. On the mazda site i didnt see platinum so i was thinking they dropped it for true silver.

When we picked out our Mazda5 we liked all the color choices although I guess I am not a fan of the greensilver. We ended up with Platinum Silver and have no regrets. Madza changed the name of this color to "True Silver" for 2007. It's just a new name, same color. Neither Platinum Silver nor True Silver accurately describes this color IMO. It's more like a tan silver than a silver silver.
