Saw a C6 Z06 being tested

My friend and I were driving along in Glendale and I see what appears to be a C5 z06 with the worst graphics job ever (checkered flag over the hood) in front of us. Then in notice that the graphics are camoflague and the headlights are the new ones. No pics though, I was driving and my friend's camera was in the trunk. It looked nice. Anyone know what kind of hp that thing will be pushing. I hear it's going to have a 427 under the hood.

If I'm not mistaken; the newest Vette will feature 400HP in regular form. Not sure about the Z06; but I would bet; close to 450hp.

where did you hear that??? i doubt chevy would ever do that.

the LS2 is in the C6, and the Z06 is projected to have about 500 hp.

oh yeah...how did you know it was a Z06? just curious.

Not twin turbo...supercharged 685 bhp version, but it's still only a concept. (thumb) That's according to Motor Trend sources, and they are usually pretty accurate because they love Vette's...who can blame them! (poke) They call it project "blue devil" probably because it is aimed to smoke the Ford GT. Although a 500 BHP Z06 should do the job quite easily because it has a few hundred pounds weight advantage on the GT and Viper. (dark)

i read somewhere that the blue devil is actually gonna be twin turbo'd. but instead of 600hp i read 800hp.
i mean come on, its a 6 liter V8, if they slapped on twins onto it, and only got ann additional 200hp i would be kinda worried.

although i doubt they will ever make a car like the blue devil anytime soon.

Yeah I agree with that. Lingenfelter TT C5's stage II are 750 bhp stage III 850+ bhp (headbang) Only 600 would be disappointing. But Motor Trend stated supercharged 685 bhp version. Regardless, (drive) I'd give my left nut for the base Z06! (doh)

how did you know it was a Z06? just curious.

i doubt that they would still be testing the regular corvette this close to the launch of the car so i assumed it was the new z06. but you're right, i'm not 100% sure it was a z06.

It's already happening... A guy out in my area is just about to start on the all carbon fiber body of the Blue Devil, he was just awarded the contract by GM 2 weeks ago.... I will try my best for pics of it.
