General Motors is coming to New York with its revamped Saturn lineup in tow.
Production versions of the all-new 2007 Saturn Aura midsize sedan, Saturn Sky Red Line performance roadster and Saturn Outlook crossover vehicle will bow at the show. The production Aura, which goes on sale this summer, is being billed as a sport sedan with a refined interior. The Sky Red Line, arriving at Saturn retailers this fall, adds the 260-horsepower 2.0L direct-injection turbo found in the Pontiac Solstice GXP. The Outlook, headed for production later this year, is built on GMs new crossover vehicle platform. In addition, a Saturn concept vehicle will debut that is intended to provide an indication of how the brands new design cues will continue on future vehicles. It will also serve as a showcase for the new synergy with GM's Opel European brand.
GM also has plans to show a Pontiac G6 GXP show car. The G6 GXP is powered by at 270-horsepower 3.9L V-6 and will feature a more aggressive appearance. GM plans to use the GXP show car to test both media and public reaction before a decision on production is made.
