Samsung phones

Looking to get a new phone. MazdaConnect says the Galaxy Samsung s5 does not pair up with 2015 GT. It does not have info on the s6. My question to you- Does the Samsung S5 and S6 pair up to the 2015 GT (Bose) ? I am most interested in the phone and message functions. I am on US Cellular. Thanks for your input. I can't believe top of the line phones don't pair up.

Maybe, the software in the radio is older then the new phones. Kenwood is the same, they support Note 2 and S3, can you believe that? And no text feature at all, only on Nokia.

I have a Galaxy S6 and it pairs with the system with no problems. I updated the infotainment software because of some other problems but they were not related to the S6.

According to your profile you have a 2016 CX-5, with the new infotainment system. OP appears to be asking about the 2015 model, which has a different infotainment system altogether.

(Just trying to avoid confusion here.)

My wife s5 pairs with no problems.Message functions works to.

Paired two S4's on 2016 GT (51, then 55 firmware) with no problem. I can't see why it would be an issue.

See if anyone at your carrier's retail store has a G5 or 6 and see if they would be willing to pair it (temporarily). I'm sure they would be willing to spend 5 minutes of their time to sell you a new phone.

Thanks for the input. I will try the employee idea. My wife's Note 4 works great.

Update---Got a Samsung S6 on Sept 17- pairs up with the 2015 GT just fine. Don't believe Mazda Connect site on this one.

I have a Galaxy S6 edge and it pairs perfectly with my 2014 w/tech. Phone calls and text messaging works flawlessly, although no email support as far as I can tell.

I did email Mazda and told them about the successful pairing. See if I get a response.

thanks for reply (wasn't being snarky ;) when i asked)
sometimes mfg's only list what they know and have actually bothered to test, and are woefully behind when new stuff gets released
and from the list vs phone providers, seems it may be the provider capabilities that are the issue, not the phone itself

so assuming support actually follows through on questions, it may bump the issue up a little so someone actually looks at it

I have an iPhone and am thinking about switching to a droid because of how shittily my car works with my phone. With your samsungs, does it still take a solid 45-90 seconds to pair every time you start the car? And also, is there like a 3-second delay when you skip songs using the steering wheel controls? I have a 2015 touring no tech. Thanks.
