Safe Boost Level for daily driving

Hey, I was searching around and I saw that 9 psi is what people are normally running for boost pressure, but is this for daily driving or at the track? If not what do you run for daily driving? How long have you people been running 9psi? (Keep in mind, this is a stock MSP, for now) Thanks for reading this :-D
 
As long as you don't hit the fuel cut, 12PSI is still safe. If the flash has been done, then I'd keep it at 10PSI tops.
 
SAfe daily is safe anywhere. The track doesn't magicly make it ok to run more boost. You knock and you engine blows up.
 
On a completely stock MSP, I'd agree with the 9 psi max. Mine's set at 8.5psi.

Get colder spark plugs too.
 
God I hate being a noob with a car, what's the deal with the flashes on the MSP?

A new computer program by mazda to fix some known issues, other then that please search. There is way to much infor to accurately realy abou it.

I know what a ECU Flash is, just wondering why Mazda does it and exactly what it does. But I'm on it and starting searching some more Search Nazi :D

There really is a ton of info, I'd hate to mis quote.

To sum it up, there is a common issue labeled "hesitation" with the MSP. It was basicly a drasic lack of acceleration part way through the power band. It was determined that the cars program was causing. The "Flash" is a retuned prgram that fixed it by advancing timing. So you get better power ona stock car but one with rasied boost will knock earlier.

**** THAT WAS A GOOD WRITE UP! Thats going into the sig.

And yes, to 03_specv and every other person that is thinking of asking an ECU, boost, or reflash type of question, it doesn't even pay to ask! There's WAY more information that can be had if you just take the time to search. You'll get more info and better info -- more complete and accurate than 1 or 2 joe blow's coming and answering your direct question with what they 'think' they know. So take the time to search and read first, ask questions later.

girth i laugh every time i see that sig. and the car is prolly hesitating like a mofo which is why that kid is still alive. someone needs to create an ecu thread about that car and the effects of the flash on the handicap kid running for his life.

(lol) Ha, that is so true. I've been trying to run him down POST flash and still can't catch him because of the F-ing hesitation that Mazda didn't fix. What pisses me off even more is that 50% of the time lately my damn sig pic doesn't even show up??? Like right now -- it doesn't show up on my screen. This morning it did. Wierd s*** is going on here.........oh, and the car wouldn't be on 2 wheels if the f-ing rear suspension could hold up for more than 2000 miles.:'(
