Thanks for posting this! Our 2021 has been doing this for a while going into our inclined driveway. I was dreading struts, but at 31k, struts shouldn't be an issue one would think.
Reading the bulletin, they do NOT lube the sway bar bushings in the sense which is the inside of the bushings which contact the bar. Mazda has stated in another bulletin that the bushings are to be installed DRY onto the bar as lube will cause squeaking in this location. The above bulletin states to lube the OUTSIDE surface of the bushing where it contacts the inner surface of the bracket, not the inner surface of the bushing where it contacts the bar.
I’ve been hearing a little clunk when pulling in or out of my driveway while I am turning and backing over the jump/apron where my driveway meets the road. I used to hear it once in a while, and now it is more often. This sounds like it is exactly what the cause is. Thank you for posting as it will likely save me some headaches when I approach the dealer.
Fyi, this likely is the cause of the same noise CX9s exhibit on 2020 and up as mine exhibits it exactly under those conditions. A TSB hasn't been released for it though.
I have been getting the click noise when I turn right and going above 20 mph, no noise when reversing nor in a complete stop. I was able to record it, I wonder if this is the fix for my issue.
