rx8 shift knob for our mz3's

does anyone know if the mazda rx8 shift knob will fit on our mz3 mtx? i know its got a 6-speed insert but i love the way the rotor is displayed on it. thanks.

A little duct tape never hurt a soul. I do like the rx8 wheel alot better because the tilt and telescopic handle is SOOOO much easier to use. Go try 1. Wouldnt the shifter have a little 6 speed on top of it? I dunno i got the auto.

yeah the rx8 shift knob has a 6-speed insert that could probably be popped out. i'm just wondering if it will screw on to my mz3 shifter without any problems....

In the past, all Mazda steering wheels and shift knobs interchanged. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, they all swap over.

well i guess i can find out the hard way. the real question is do you think i could pop out the insert that has the 6-speed shift pattern marked on it.

If you can find a European source, they sold a 5-speed RX-8 over there.

lol yeah i was just more worried about it actually looking like what my car has. having a 6-speed insert on a 5-speed car is like putting a vtec sticker on your geo metro.

I have the RX8 knob. It'll fit your 3 since it fits my p5. There's no way you'll be able to change the shift pattern but I like the knob so much I can overlook that.
