THey are 18'' anyway.
Not 17''
Maybe he Cares?Who cares we all know what he meant anyways. If you want to get technical about it they could be 18” or 19”s. He/She if more then likely inquiring about the 18s that everyone is familar with.
Maybe he Cares?
If he thought they were 17's....he may be intersted..but I know a lot of guys who shy away from 18's...SO I was merely making sure he knew what size they were.
So as far as I am concerned..I did him a favor by providing him with correct info ..and you sir, are being a prick for the attitude you have shown.
Absolutely..I am a prick...But its expected of me....We all know how your rep stands on this board. Grant it you know more then the average person including myself, but your the one with the attitude most of the time.(inout)
Absolutely..I am a prick...But its expected of me....
I show attitude where its needed.....
Here..It wasnt needed because I pointed out the correct size of something..He does only have 11 posts....so I assumed from the get-go that he probably did not know that they were 18's and he really thought they were 17's.
No matter...You gave attitude...I called you on it....End of Story.
I have no beef with you....Just because I said that doesnt mean I have a problem..Just stating what I saw. (direct)(gtfo)
RX-8s actually come with 16 or 18" rims...however when most people say they want RX-8 rims they are referring to the 18" ones.
215/35/18 is the only size tire that will fit unless you do massive rolling and cutting of the inner fender.
IMO, squeezing a 215 on those rims looks awful. I personally hate the look of a tire that's not as wide as the rim. I would look for 17s if you're flexible...lots more options there.
Miguel he is talking about stretching the tire to fit the rim...
This is a bit extreme but it will give you a good idea on where he is coming from.

215s on RX8 wheels do the same stretch as the tires stealthwyvern posted, just not as much. I like the rims, I just cringe when I see that narrowing slope up the side of the tire. I'd rather go 17s and be able to squeeze something a little larger, or at least tires that look proportionally correct. Plus, I would think you're losing some contact patch that way. That's just my opinion.
See below for case in point...
