Man I can't stand those tailights. Don't tell me Mazda is going to follow in Lexus's footsteps and start putting those damn clear tail on all their vehicles. Its what keeps the IS300 from being truly nice.

I like these a little better now that I see them with that tail spoiler, but I'm still waiting for them to bring back a true rotary sports cars like the old RX7, these are too tame. Turbocharge them!

For all mentioning the P5, Vancouver is aflock with them, its hard to drive 5 mins' without seeing another one, which kind of sucks. Hopefully everyone will get the RX8 and Mazda3, and the P5 can plateau in sales a little. It does make for useful trips to the wrecker already though.

they are sweet!!
i will look into one next year after winter. I would keep it forever though so i will wait to get the one i really want.
btw I LOVE MY P5 :D

I moved to hickville kentucky about 4 months ago and there are almost no Pro5's on the road. :(
But I do get asked all the time "what kind of nose kit is that? It looks so clean!"

I thought I'd give the dealer at least until my first service for cutting me a good deal before I pull it off, right? :)

I just realized it looks all black, but there is a dealer surround and plate on there, its just blacked out for security purposes, as I as quite high up in the Canadian Secret Service. We are going to get batons this year, sweet. Just kidding, but it is blacked out.

Don't forget - no one was buying the 3rd gen RX-7, and the price on one was creeping up on $40k when they stopped production in the US.

That's why the more tame RX-8.

That is not a valid excuse, I hear that every day and I dismiss it!

Good point, but it doesn't mean it wasn't a great car. I just think it was a little early, I think the Supra ( sans giant wing ), RX7 and Nissan 300ZX would do better in today's market then when they went out.

Yeah you're right, they would. Despite the poor economic climate (at least in the US, not sure how Canada is doing) people seem willing to buy bigger, faster, and better. I see hundreds of $50k+ vehicles on the road every day, whereas ten years ago this was not the case.

Of course, Americans are consumers in the extreme sense of the word.

I saw a black one downtown Toronto on Friday night with actual plates (not dealer) so I guess they are out.

Canada isn't doing great, our dollar is much improved, mostly thanks to you guys going to war, and our total inability to help, but people are paying top dollar for the new Z, the Suburu STI ( already have seen well over 10 in Vancouver ), and the Lancer EVO. The Z, fully loaded is over 50G's CAD, and the wait is over a year, the G35 is a 6 month wait.

Maybe those cars of yore will make a return in some form or another.

(lol) I knew it was blacked out silly...I wouldn't want my plate floatin all over the net either...but my boobs--that's okay....(rofl)

i didnt read the whole thread, but i sat in a red one at my dealer today. They got 3 or 4 of them. Im not a huge fan of the exterior look, but i hear it handles real well and the interior is real nice.
