rx-8 wheel & tires

your car looks great with the rx-8 rims. I have 2007 speed 6 . i am trying to sell original 15 spoke 18x7 rims with 215/45 tires. only have 4000 miles on car/tire. don't know what to ask and was wondering if you sold your rims/tires and if so what did you ask/get. looking for set of rx-8 5 spoke 18x8 silver painted rim but can't afford 400 a rim. that is the bets price I have found for new set of factory rims. looking for deal on used set or wanted your thoughts on replicas or refinished rims. they go for about 200 but none in stock in U.S. thanks for your imput!

also wanted to know if the wider tires cause more road noise or give harsher ride

I would check rx8 forums classified section if you are looking to score some wheels. Id probably only pay $150ish per wheel as stock wheels are abundant and not many people want them when aftermarket is more "unique" and typically cheaper.

I believe dealers a lot of times put a large markup on OEM wheels and such because its usually the insurance company that buys them after minor accidents and such. On my sentra se-r spec v, nissan wanted $600 for the stock 17" wheel when i could order a Nismo forged alloy 5 spoke for $179... sounds fishy doesn't it?
