I tried saying "Hi! Nice RX-8" to a ~30s-ish guy at a gas station in Kentucky once. He looked at me like I had lobsters crawling outta my ears, rolled his eyes a bit, and kept talking to his buddy and pumping his gas. guess he's one of those "look at my new car isn't it trendy" kinda people.

if it comes down to these choices then its the evo hands down... fast and cheap with 4 doors and the ability to drive through the worst blizzards if need be. i wouldve gotten the evo over the msp had they been available here... i couldnt pass up the deal on the msp and now its seems that ill be sellin the 7 and gettin the evo as soon as it comes out... good luck on your choice
