Anyone with a GT, take a look at your CHROME TRIM around the windows and see if you have RUST. I noticed RUST spots all over the trim.

Take it to the dealer that you bought it at. The corrosion warrenty should cover this, especially since the car is so new.

Thats what I thought. I am waiting for a call back as I type, my friend is the service manager.

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I'm waiting for it to become more prominent before I make the dealer replace it all.

problem is... rust will return unless they have a newly designed trim piece or a way to modify it so it doesnt rub the paint.

I had rust on the drivers rear hatch strut the shiny rod- noticed at 150 miles dealer replaced no question

How long did it take?

They ordered me a new strut 3 days to get it, they put it on the same time as my gas cap was in/out 10-20 ish min max. It looked as it was defective from the supplier or assembly as there was a gouge take out of it for some reason. The hatch is in perfect shape so someone got sloppy :)

maybe they sold you one of the cars that went down with that ship? hah totally kidding (poke) . They should replace that stuff no problem. They should have made it aluminum or stainless steel.

Anyone experience rust on the disc brakes? I live on the coast, but my car has only 4000 miles on it and I keep it in the garage , so I think the rust is abnormal. I guess I will check with my dealer and see what they say. I have not noticed any rust around the chrome trim. It just bugs me that a brand new car would have rust already. My Volvo has no problems with rusting!

I bought aftermarket rotors and factory rotors for a ton of cars the area not in contact with the pads rust right away some are treated better than others. I'm in the midwest the rust belt so unless its on the sheetmetal, body parts I keep quiet I have bolts on the front control arms already showing corrosion but like I said they put salt on the roads here its not Mazdas fault there idea of de icing the roads are primitive in my state.

They don't salt roads out this way. I would not do well back east! My son has a Mazda Speed and his are rusty too. I'm begininng to think Mazda using inexpensive metal or something.

it's not the quality of the metal; the rotors are steel. steel rusts unless it's protected from the atmospehere. some companies probably apply a coating to the non-contact areas of the rotors; apparently mazda does not.
