My car has had some rust on the passenger front strut towers since buying it last year, its right along the seam on the inside front corner and it looks like the drivers side has a small spot too. According to the body shops I have visited they say since its in the seam thats its not fixable. I'm not too concerned about this, but I ran a search assuming this is common, but no results.

Do any of you MP3 or P5 owners have this??

Found more rust!!

Sorry, no access to a camera for a couple weeks so no pics. Buts its easy to figure out, just looking at the strut tower from the front of the car the seam on the tower on the outside corner, just were it goes under the fender. Anyways if no one can see any rust on theirs then I must be the only one, its rather obvious.

**Found more rust just tonight after washing it. For all you guys in the winter road salt zone you should check your rear fender wells, on the inside rear corner right where the bumper bolts onto the rear quarter panel the rubberized coating had worn off leaving bare metal, this is on both sides too, now its all surface rust with some flakyness to it. **** was I pissed when I found it, car is barely 5 years old and this already. I will try to see if the local Mazda dealer can warranty this considering I have maybe 2 more months left on the 60mth rust warranty....also helps that a good friend of mine is good friends with the dealership owner. Looks like some bead blasting and new coating will fix it no problem. If you go to inspect your fenderwell use a flashlight, its hard to see.
