Well, I'm going to agree with Red_Wagon in that if we have another tie it should go to Dallas. SA may hate me but SA hosted it last year so it would only be fair that someone else host it. Why not Austin, or Houston, you ask, they weren't that close in the previous poll. After this year's meet we can all rotate. Mind you this is just my humble opinion.

On a side note Speedrcr is organizing a mini-meet for the SA people so we can get together and trade ideas in the event that SA wins the poll or for future meets.

I have a whole set of moderator tools to work with. I can see all of the ips in this thread and edit what I need. the forum looks a lot different from my end.

to be clear, I am only concerned with people who are only joining to curve votes. if they join to come to the meet, that is just new membership. I fully support that.

After reading those dfwmazdas threads, I get the feeling a lot of Dallas folks aren't interested in making the trip to SA even if SA wins the poll. Is everyone who voted actually interested in traveling to EITHER city, regardless of which wins? It was my understanding that this poll is for people who are going to attend the meet regardless of where it's held, otherwise what is the point of this? Popularity contest?

well, that is just part of what we will have to live with. the dallas guys feel like they are getting screwed if it happens in san antonio again. houston, however, has never had one, so we are really the ones who have gotten screwed in the past. once it becomes more uniform in a rotation, it will even out. those who dont go by that point will just be the stubborn ones who will miss out on what the cities in texas have to offer.

this is really the best way to proceed. we dont really have a better way to sort it out, so there it is.

I get that feeling too....it should be for those who are going no matter what... but its not the case. ryan lives in co but visits dallas regularly and has been an active member on dfwmazdas for a long time. and as far as dallas not coming to san antonio agian if its there, some will some wont, i wont because i traveled all that way last year, had to take a day off work, and pay 75 dollars a night for the hotel. so it was more then a 300 dollar trip for me, money i dont have this year. and my motor lost compression after last years cruize its now at 125 across the board, i think i washed the cylinder walls from the bad rich stock tune, so technically last years cruize cost me around 2000 lol. car still runs ok though.

Iam down to go where ever. Just make sure whatever city plans a good meet. shoulda made each city come up with a meet idea then voted that way we know what each city has to offer. ~ too late now.

I'll go to another city no biggie but whoever plans it please make sure its epic last years was okay about 30 Mazdas but a 3 sisters cruise this year make it more Mazdas more activities(track, dyno, car show, etc) make sure its worth every moment so then we could look forward to the Mazda meet of 2012 and they have to top it off....do the damn thing! SA DFW ATX or H-TOWN!
