Saw a guy from work in his Spec V tonight, so I figured I'd play around with him. He got on the highway headed toward Bedford and I followed. He saw it was me in his rear view and got on it going down the ramp.

I ended up passing him well into 5th gear and then started to slow. We're not even to the bridge yet and I see headlights coming up FAST. As the car got close I said "Oh s***! It's a cop." The cruiser got so close to my back bumper I could not even see his headlights.

He put his top spotlights on and flashed the blues. I put on my directional and started to pull over into the right lane. Once I was in the right lane, the car pulled up next to me and turned on his side spotlight and shined it into my car. I started slowing even more and expected him to pull in front of me and force me to pull over, which is what I was already planning on doing.

Then the cop took off. (bowdown) I can't believe I got a freebie from the State Police!

sounds like he was looking for someone else. :) Lucky you.

no, cops do that as in to say...slow down motha fucka! cuz they are too lazy to pull you over...

It was 70* out. He probably would have liked the fresh air. LOL

had this same thing happen to me when i was 17...driving my old beat up bimmer 100+ down the highway. Cruiser practicly touched my bumper before hitting the sirens telling me "get the hell out of my way"

I s*** a brick, but not as much as my friend that I (and apparently the cop too) was trying to catch up with doing ~115 in his explorer. Lucky day for me, not so much for my friend

Your damned lucky. The cop still did his job by scaring the s*** outta ya. You won't be goofing off anywhere near as often (especially on that highway). Deterrence is part of their job.

lol wow man NH state troopers are notorios a holes as well... at least to some one with maine plates they patrol the 16 mile section of 95 as if it were a war zone and pull people over all the damn time!

Wow, sounds like that cop is all about safety if it includes extreme tailgating and spotlighting drivers in moving cars. A good brake check would have been hilarious...... for a minute..

Ill:

Where are you from in NH? I live in Goffstown (right next door to Bedford) and usually see some "Staties" on Rt 101 and Rt 114.

I'd do the same thing if I was a cop. I do it now in an 05 altima every now and then, at night it looks like it could be undercover. I just flash my highbeams a few times and cars slow down.

Done it to a g35 and something else I cannot recall.
