Are these allowed at auto X cause I just heard a rumor today that you are not allowed to have a solid shifter bushing....

If anyone can clear that up for me... Thanks

Not that I wouldn't report it...but something like that seems like a very minor change that would be very hard to even know you've done the change. At least at my autoX events, they only do a very cursory check for mod changes.

Chances are if you don't mention it, it won't be a problem. Looking through the rulebook, (yes, it is right next to me) I don't see anything specifically, though it could be considered a shifter mod, and would probably put you in STS.
If you don't say anything, and nobody else knows, chances are it won't be an issue. I can almost guarantee it won't make you any faster.
Good luck!

JcsMP3,
If you are running under the SCCA National SOLO rules, paragraph 13.1. "If a modification has not been specifically authorized in this or previous sections of these rules it is not allowed. It is not permitted to use illegal parts even if they have been set to stock specifications." In the rest of section 13, which deals with the stock category rules no prevision is mde for changing the bushings in question.

Having said all that, at most local events it is unlikely that a) anyone would protest you, b) that the bushings are some thing that you would get protested for changing, and c) tech does not determine what class you run unless you ask them. It is up to you the entrant to properly class your car and your competition to protest you if you are cheating. However if you are winning or in the trophies at a divisional event or some such, then you might get protested by someone.
