Does anyone know where I can find some rubber floor mats or some sound dampening floor mats?

Thanks Men,

uhhh-floor mats won't help--u'll need to pull the carpet up & put down Dynamat or something similar to deaden sound....

Dynapad works great, but you'll have to pull the carpet up and lay it down under, which takes some time. And the stuff aint cheap...$130 bucks just to do the front two floor pans..

Hotdamn. Maybe later.

But the rubber mats... I don't want universals. I'm trying to find custom fitted mats. Any ideas?

Brownbread is a cheaper version on dynamat. Ebay has some for a decent price. If you pulled your seats and carpet you could do you whole car. 100% less road noise but the stuff aint light either so remember that when you decide what you want and how much of it.

Weather Tech has the closest thing to "custom" rubber mats, and they cost 100 bucks for a set (front and rear). But they are the best out there.

It pisses me off that Mazda makes all weather mats for every car besides the Protege.

Dynamat and dynamat imitations are designed to reduce sheet metal vibration and kill noise. If all you want to do is kill road noise there are other things that are cheaper and much lighter that will do it.

Raammat Ensolite
EDesigns TekLite
There are a few others as well. And the cheapest is a kind of synthetic carpet padding. If you search the audio section I think you will find more info about the carpet padding and these other products.

The best would probably be a layer of dynamat/dynamat alternative with a layer or two of Ensolite/TekLite/carpet padding. Do the floor, trunk, doors, and even the pillars and the roof if you want to go crazy.
