rr racing udp (underdrive pulley)

n: yo
[22:00] Aaron: do u think i'll need an impact socket if i am only using a hand impact driver w/ may tq of 200 to remove the pulley?

(butthump) & (bj) & (spank) & (boobs2) & (godown)..........Those have to be the only things that could possibly be keeping this from already being done, right? OMG it's been how long & how many posts? Please say yes for (cool)(rockon) or say anything else for (jerkit)(loser)

i tried the other day but didnt have an impact driver to get it off. everything else was off. and the crank kept turning. so i should be able to today.

well i got it off w/o the driver. did a trick w/ the old ac belt to keep it from movin. got it off w/ a breaker bar. guess i'll take the driver back to sears and tell them i want my money back. its craftsman and it did not satisfy me. i dont notice any significant difference in the timing though...idk i'll check again later today to see if i notice it. my bro was w/ me so i didnt drive like i normally do.

so it's on a running smooth. no squeeling or anything. i just gotta figure out why my hood is rattling. if i push on it, it stops. it's weird. anyway. i'll check the belts for noise for a while to make sure they are still tight and not stretched out too much.

thanks to those who helped. those who told me to take it somewhere, hope you learned something. all it takes is help. if anyone needs help lmk and i can help you w/o all the flaming

Stock Pulley Weight: 5 lbs 0.6 oz
RR-Racing UDP Weight: 1 lb 6.4 oz

There are the weight specs for the two pulleys. RR-Racing's pulley weighs over 3 pounds LESS than the stock pulley, not to mention the smaller diameter of the pulley itself

yea. it squeels though. gotta tighten them but the car is hot so i'll have to do it later. it's only right after i start the car though. it's weird. it doesnt do it at idle, but once i start the car and start moving it squeels until i am in about 3rd gear, and then i dont hear it again until i turn off and restart the car. i guess i'll tighten the belts and see what happens.

Anyone have problems running the UDP with a big sound system.

Somewhere in the 1000 watts?

The highest i saw being talked about was 500watts.

it might work fine but it may take away from other things like lights etc. just stay tuned to see if anyone replies. you might also check protegeclub.com for anything, not sure if they have anything on there or not

Yea I dont really care if my lights are that bright cuz i can always swap to brighter bulbs. Its just the ac cuz it gets freeekin hot over here in Cali.

But I will wait and see if anyone has anything.

i have stock stereo and my ac works just as well as it did b4. not sure how the stereo would affect it. hope you find some answers
