RPM's dipping/Close to stalling

Ok, tried posting a few times already, and did massive amounts of searching. However, I still haven't fixed my problem. I'll be more specific this time, hope this helps troubleshooting cuz the MSP isn't running right.

**MSP was stock up until a few weeks ago, with no running or idle issues whatsoever. Except the nipple for the BPV broke, I ordered a SLS Hot-pipe replacement, and then the following issue started occuring.**

1.Installed SLS Hot-Pipe - Noticed after the car warmed up fully, when I would shift into neutral after boost, the rpms would dip to around 100-200 and then settle out. At normal idle, rpm's are stable though.

What I've tried: Cleaning the EGR. Replaced the vacuum lines from intake mani, BPV, and WGA. Examined the engine bay for any possible leaks in other lines. Checked intercooler couplers.

Further, I recently added a smic, cold-pipe(NO BOV), and down-pipe back exhaust... Starting to get this problem more often now. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Have you tested the WGA? It's the main culprit of a lot of issues, even blwon motors.

I have been having the same issue without the mods for months now. chasing the problem. finally took it to the stealership and they informed me the WGA (wastegate actuator) was bad. currently in the process of replacing it. i'll let you know if it fixes it.

It's a few minutes job, regardless of how you do it. It shouldn't be more than an hr.

Pretty sure I did the WGA test too. You just blow into the line going to it... no air pushed through, solid.

I removed the entire manifold turbo assembly to do mine because I have huge bricks for hands. I know know after having done it that I could have done it with a wobble, extensions and a long needle nose had I not removed it. It still took me under an hr to do it.

quit thread jackin! ha!

Updates that might help: Hooked up Boost Gauge today. Reads 20-22 VAc and 6psi. Radiator fan kicks on when car starts. High pitched whistle under WOT... could be turbo I'm hearing with new mods?

Troubleshooting section in Protege manual for my symptoms:
1) Vacuum Leak - NO
2) IAC Valve Malfunction
3) Air Leak from intake system - NO
4) TP Sensor
5) MAF Sensor
6) Brake Switch
7) Neutral/Clutch Switch (MTX)

**Thinking it might be #2,4,or 5**
Let me know if anyone has experience with fixing these to relieve symptoms?

i replaced my wastegate and it did not fix the problem i also replaced my maf and that did not fix it either

I bet there is a leak in the charge pipe somewhere if you are hearing the turbo a lot louder.

Hehehe my bad!

well. with the updates i officially have no freaking clue anymore of what could be wrong. since your vac and boost pressures seem to be normal. I'm going to keep an eye on this one for future reference.

if you mean intercooler pipe when you say charge pipe?, then both the hot and cold-side are brand new, and all couplers are on correctly. So, I'm not thinking there's a leak

There can be a leak on the WGA, all the vac lines, the intercooler itself can have a leak. Shake stuff around, pull on the hoses everything. Anything that doesn't look or feel right needs to be replaced, repositioned or repaired.

I have the same idle drop issue, but my culprit is my bpv. after blowing off it is still open for recirc for a bit then levels out. Ive tested this by pulling off my recirc hose and feel air flow from the bpv when it should be sealed. I guess the ms3 forge bpv just isnt designed for this cars boost/vacuum?

Hmmm. Could be my problem. Any way to test? I would imagine if it was one of the sensors, it would have thrown a CEL by now, but i'm not sure.

I've noticed the cooling fan is kicking on everytime I start the car, or come to a stop... weird! I'm thinking whatever is wrong might be connected to this. Also, I threw a CEL today, betting its the catless midpipe. Comes on from time to time
