Rough Weekend for the MSP

So I was driving home this weekend and it had been raining like crazy for a couple days. Recently, on really low rpms I've been hearing a rattle that sounds like the heat shield. So I go around a corner, through a puddle, hit a pot hole, and clunk...the exhaust rattle becomes much worse. Now I can actually feel the exhaust through my seat and it sounds as though there's a hole in the piping. I pull into a gas station and sure enough, the muffler had fallen out of the two rubber hangers and was resting on the sway bar. How does this happen on a car with 1200 miles? My clunk is back so I've been thinking about taking it to the dealer and this morning the rear suspention starts squeaking like crazy. It's absudly loud. From the sounds of this car, I feel like I'm driving a 15' box truck with nothing in the back of it. Don't get me wrong, I love driving the thing, but I'm going to be 2 dealer visits and 3 separate problems deep after having owned the car for a month and a half. Is it me, or is this not how new car ownership is not supposed to go?

MSP=PO_.....nah i won't go that far... heheh seriously tho..there are so many reported little problems with this car..with the time mazda pushed delivery date further and further. they'll know better next time to "rush" a project. I think the cars should stay in one plant. not be built..then transferred around to be finished at the port. but that's just my take on it

i've got a very metalic sounding clunking coming from underneith my car that started this weekend as well. i thought it might be a heatshield or something but couldn't be positive.

it does it at any speed when the car dips or hits a spot other than a level ground. i can jerk the wheel back and forth and it will do it. so something's deffinetly loose and swaying back and forth under there. the car is going back to the dealer tomorrow night but i'll pull it back into the garage tonight and check again more thuroughly. i was going to wait to say anything and start a thread of my own on it but this will work for now. i should bring up the clunk in the trunk too and see what they say.
