Rough Idle when stopping after header install

I just got done installing my OBX Header last night and my car seems to almost stall whenever I slow done for a red light/stop sign. I looked everything over and everything has been tightened correctly. Could this be becasue the ECU hasn't learned the new changes? I did unhook the battery for some of the install to reset the ECU. I also did the MIL eliminator in the how-to section. Could the solder have come undone and caused the censors to read funky? I don't have a CEL yet though. My only other thought is an exhaust leak where the header connects to the second CAT. Any ideas?

Are u sure it isnt just from the header itself... any ecu malfunctions would throw a CEL. And an exhaust leak would be loud and not necessarily make the car stall.

It will go away after a few days when the ECU is done re-learning. Mine did the same thing...

thats kinda wierd for the car to be stalling like that.....after my install of the header, the car ate that s*** up and loved it!

Mine does the same thing. And I thought it was the Nology wire but its not. So if you ever find what it is let us now

do u have the OBX?

Hey don't you have the AWR.....<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_1038692", true); </SCRIPT>

how do you like it...when do you feel the most power...
ummm......i feel it the best around 4000 rpm through the first few gears....When i took off my second cat and midpipe, and swapped in a straight 2.25" pipe....it felt even better.

Did anyone ever figure this out? I just installed the Tsudo header and I'm having the same problem. It also feels like I LOST power in the low end and my CEL light came on as soon as I started the car (even after reseting the ecu).

Mine idles a lil rough too after the header install i think with the exhaust being so free flowing now I might need to up the idle speed a lil. Cause it only does it when the motor dies down to idling speed around 500rpm then it kinda vibrates the seat lol. If I get out of the seat with the car idling its soo bad the seat makes a noise from shaking so bad. Im going to install a new intake mani with vtcs removed this week and clean the egr and idle control valve if that doesnt help ill just up the idle speed a lil.

Found out what was up with mine I have a front AWR motor mount and when putting the header on you take off alot of weight from the front of the motor and off that mount. My license plate was making a noise and so was the bumper under the headlight from shaking. I put some foam behind the plate bracket and between the headlight and bumper where u cant see it and it pretty much all went away. If it starts to bother me I might just put the stock mount back in I still have a brand new rear mount I decided not to use.

yup reset the ecu.. just disconnect the possitive and negative terminals on ur battery, for 1 hour. or 30 mins. iv done this and it works.. the rough idling is gone.. and the gain is much noticable.. youll notice it after using it for one day.
