Rota GT3 or Drag DR-16? (for the MX5)

Hey guys, I thought I'd get your insight about my wheel choice.

Some of you may have seen my Black on Black wheel thread in the miata section, but I've got a broader question.

Have any of you ever heard of DRAG wheels? (See attached)

I've been on the phone with the Rota vendor that I was going to buy my GT3s from, and they suggested the Drag DR-16 instead. Siting that it was cheaper, and about 4 oz. lighter per wheel, but almost exactly the same as the Rota GT3. I know they're both copies of some other wheel, but I'm on a $500 budget for this set of wheels (less the tires) and here's the deal they gave me.

Rota GT3s w/ the tires I chose for $760 shipped
Drag DR-16s w/ the tires I chose for $710 shipped

So are Drag wheels crap?

wait a minute if the drag are lighter there is an auction for bronze drags and tires for 565 plus shipping

hmmm i may have to findout where you are getting your wheels when i want to get mine. the car i bought had really good tread on em, but i am burning those off pretty damn quick...hehe

They aren't that bad....I've got a buddy with they on his hatch and they are fine. They have about the same quality as the rotas and yes they are copies of some GAB wheels. If that is what you want I would say that they would be fine.
