roof screen spoiler

the ones on the mitsu are actually wind tunnel tested. jus tacking some on your car for the look is borderline ricer:/

...Adding aerodynamic devices to the top of the car would either get rid of that low pressure zone, decreasing drag and increasing fuel mileage, or increase the amount of air hitting the rear wing, increasing high-speed downforce/parasitic drag.

in theory. until i see some wind tunnel testing, im still calling rice. but then again im rocking useless c/f canards so...(screwy)

theres somewhere online which shows the angles of each fin to make them work, yes its not 100% but its still close. TO me thats still worth it.

Absolutely. All i was spewing out was just theory, but with a little knowledge of the subject as well. What I do know, through looking at the flow of air over the car when there's water/dew/snow on it is that the rear screen has some funky aerodynamic properties to it and could probably use a little help. If nothing else, it'll give you better fuel economy on the highway.

Wonder how much modification it would be to get the sti roof wing on our cars...hmmmm

someone sent me pics of one a long time ago as something that fit the protege sedan, back when i was starting my CF thread. he said it was imported from japan... ill look for the pics and more info tomorrow

i think the rear window spoiler from wings west would really help the drag/mileage from the wing.

if you've ever drivin in the rain, the cicle of water left on the rear window from the drag is horrible. talk about bad aero-dynamics..

this would especially help a wingless MSP! to soon be myself!

So is it settled has anyone done the spoiler or not? possible?
and as for the shark teeth do they make them for the msp or
can you cut one made for like evos and make it fit?

any info on this? i know you can purchase 10 of these for 20$ and they are just the fins but would they do much without the proper angles? i was just thinking about this last night

I think the WW roof spoiler is way to pricey for what you get but now if the Evo one I see floating around ebay would some how work I would so buy it, my husband's friend brought his Vortex Generator from his 99 Subi 2.5rs over to see if it would fit my car, its like a couple cm short but it fits the shape of the roof really well, most likely going to be the guinea pig and buy that Evo roof spoiler Crosses fingers :)
