Roof rack suggestions??

I want to attach a roof rack to the factory cross bars and was looking for suggestions on what rack to get? Yakima? Thule? Looking at using it for bikes, canoes, and luggage. Also where do I get a good wind deflector?

If anyone has this for sale let me know what you have and how much you want for it. Thanks!!

i had a thule ride-on adapter on my factory rack. this converts the rack to the more standard square cross bars so you can use more types of racks. I got the kit for $35 on ebay then when i got rid of my roof rack i sold it to scratchnsniff. I think he has it up for sale now

I use the yakima forklifts for my bikes. They work witht he factory cross bars. If you need to carry all that stuff and want inter-changablity I think it's best you get a full after market setup from either thule or Yakima (there six of one half dozen of the other). It's going to be hard to find the stuff to attach to the factory rack.

I went with Thule

I went with a Thule roof rack:

I got it off of a guy on Craigslist for $100 FTW! I like it thus far and highly recommend. I'm gonna paint my wind deflector a Hawaii state flag... I've never driven w/o the deflector so I don't know if it's worth getting one or not, but so far so good.

That looks good! I think it might be the Thule forklifts, basket and windscreen. What specific windscreen fits the best? Model number?

http://www.thule.com ...you can use their "fit guide"...I did the hardwork for you. This is the cheap style set up:
4 - 400XT Aero Foot pack ($159.95)
2 - 50 lb load bar ($69.95)
4 - 544 lock cylinder ($54.95)
1 - fit kit 2069 ($69.95)
1 - 871XT fairing (38") ($79.95)
1 - 518 Echelon ($149.95)
1 - 516 Prologue ($89.95)
1 - 593 Wheel on ($39.95)
total = $714.60

I found the old style of all of these parts for $125 total

I thought he said he wanted to use the factory cross bars not get a totally new after market one.

There is no windscreen that will fit the factory crossbars. they are too far back from the front of the roof to have a windscreen look good and be effective.
