Hey, I just love to read Road and Track. This month in their COVER STORY, they GET A GRIP! on the top eight most popular cars they consider having one of the best handling cars for the road AND track.
Yeah baby, even though the Mazda MP3 was placed last out of the entire list, I am still one very proud owner of the car. To be considered a top rated handling car compared with several top notch performing vehicle is really mind blowing.
There may be more Civic Si out there, more Acura RSX Type-S, more Integra Type-Rs, and more people craving and raving in general for the WRX... but none of them are as identifiable as the Mazda MP3 with positive remarks about its handling performance for the money.
Okay, MAYBE the WRX has it's own very strong identity with the best bang for the buck on horsepower performance... but it's definitely not as PURRRRRTY as the Mazda MP3.
Hey, but it may not be the best bang for the buck on horsepower now that the 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra is out. That is one powerful road peeler for around $35K if you ask me.
