Will 225/40/18 fit on a stock suspension MSP with 18x7.5 +50 offset?

had 225/45/18 and I think if i rolled the fenders it might of worked. But I dont want to do that.

with that I think you would not be worring about the fenders more on that you would be rubbing the shock. with a 7.5 rim you should be ok......

I looked at the first page but didn't want to search the entire thread, will 215/45/17 fit on a p5 with 17" rims that have a +45 offset without rubbing? If that won't work will 205/45/17 tires work with the same combination?

17x7 +45mm with 215/40R17

These fit beautifully, I'm lowered on Ksports and I can tuck the rear with the wheel into the fender and it doesn't rub. The fronts are fine on hard cornering as well.

It's the Mazda6 wheel. Does anyone know the stock offset of the P5 and of the Mazda6?

Rub the fender... To my understanding the lower the offset the further the wheel sticks out.

16x7 205/45/R16 +37 Offset on 3rd Gen LX 2.0, MSP suspension

So I'm a little confused on this issue.

According to the magic chart:

215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

205/40/17
-------------
7.0" +42 and higher; Barely making it
7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.

Punching numbers into this calculator comparing against the stock wheel size (15x6 +45), I get 5mm less clearance to the strut, but extend 21mm towards the fender. I'm running stock suspension right now, but plan on installing MSP suspension in the future. So will I end up with any rub, and if so, would it be on the fender or against the strut (seems unlikely against the strut, because punching numbers into the calculator for a 17" wheel @ +42 gives me 13mm less clearance to the strut, since I'm 8mm less, I should be more than good).

Any ideas?

Tendim, you'll rub with 16x7+37 205/45R16. Try for >42mm.

Should be fine. Check the tire manufacturer's size chart (usually online) for the section width. This is more useful than the tread width (205) for determining whether you'll rub the fender.

17x7 with a 44mm offset. From the guide, it says 205/40/R17 won't rub, but 215/40/R17 will. With H&R springs and Tokico shocks, which of these will rub?

17x7" +45mm with 215/40R17 with a proper lowered alignment does not rub. I had this setup with my coilovers and I was tucking tire.

I had the same setup with Tokico Illuminas and Sprint 2" drop springs and it would only rub slightly. I redid the alignment to good specs and it didn't rub anymore.

Being that yours is only 1mm different I'm sure you'll be fine. Remember tire selections has a lot to do with it. I recommend Flaken ZE-512 because they have a narrow tread width.
