rims + tires + springs

alright so here is the deal. i am new to this forum and just got my ms3 anout two months ago. i have a couple questions that need to be cleared up before i start my mods.
i am currently at stock everything but i do have cold air and stealth back exhaust.
the dilemna is my rims and spring set up i am going with. i will be fitting motegi rims 18x8 +35 offset with 215/45/18 tires. my fenders will be rolled but how much can i drop this. i am only going to run springs for now until my stock struts self destruct because i have to fly under the radar with my wife and cannot drop huge coin into it right off the bat. i do not drive a ton so i can probably get a way with this for a bit. which springs should i go with and why?

Stock struts are super weak on this car, probably wont last at all if you lower the car. That being said, if you lower it more than about 1.3 inches you'll probably need a camber kit. I'd save your $$ on the suspension until you're ready to do it properly, these cars can be a little fickle if not setup right.
Good choice on the tires though!!
I just lowered my car on H&R springs (1.3" drop)/koni yellows and thats low enough that i scrape driveways but havent bottomed out anywhere in Toronto yet...which if you havent been here its like driving on cobble-stone roads...
All the tire gap is gone but its not stupid low, i can still do groceries and put girls in my backseat.
