Hey, New to this forum I don't own a ms3 however my girlfriend just got an 09 a few months ago so im doing a bit of Research for her.

She's been bothering me to help her find a sick wheel/tire setup so ive been trying to help.
I came across a bomb deal for some brand new Work Emotion CR KAI's the price was so good I had her buy them on the spot. Whatever rims I buy for my s2k I usually just make fit. So jumping the gun a bit I have a friend that does powder coating start spraying these things neon pink. I haven't test fit the rims cause Ive been busy and my mind kind of slipped it cause Ive been working on my car so much and i don't get the rims back for another 2-3 weeks cause that's when ill have time to go pick them up. I'm kind of eager to know if everything was a waste so thats why im here asking you guys. Hopefully someone can shed some light and help me out.

My question is can they fit , and if so what am i gonna have to do to make them fit.

Rim specs: 17x9 +38
Tires specs that I was going to tell her to run: 235/40/17 Yokohama S Drives

Any info from someone with experience would help. She does plan on getting coilovers and lowering the car.

Does she Need Coilovers to run this or can she drive with it stock for a bit?
Fender roll or pull or both? (front, rear or both)

Anyone running similar setup if you have pix please post em up.
I Seen this MS3 would really like to know who owns it and what specs these rims/tires are.

Pre thanx for all the helpful responses

Its doable, but it is aggressive. I would recommend 225/40s and a fender roll. Its gonna look very weird without a drop, so yes coilovers are gonna help alot... but not needed.

specs are 18X9.5 +38 with 235

I'm just looking at sizes for yoko s drive's

What do you think would be better

225/35-17
or
225/45-17

or should i just find a different tire and run

225/40-17???

I really like the s drives and i can get a good deal on them but if its that important and safer to run 225/40-17 i can just get a diffrent tire for her. LMK what you think.
Keep in mind that this car will be dropped eventually and most likely be running -2 to -3 camber

Appreciate the help

Are you going to be running a camber adjustment kit also? As for the fitment issues, Stock ride height shouldnt be an issue. But if you are going to drop it you will have to roll the fenders, up the camber, and make sure you have some patience for figuring out exactly how low you can go.

Awesome thanx for the info, now i just gotta figure out which tire size over the ones i listed.

the 45s will be too tall. The 35s will be short, but if you really want sdrives, then they will work. But 40s are gonna be a lot better.

The 35s will have a harsher ride.

Any suggestions on some other good brands?

For 225/40/17

I have 215/40/18 sumitomo htr z III, they work great.

You may want to look up the size cause I dont know what it comes in. That is a summer tire though
