i like eather hyper black with a nice silver lip, or a gun metal powder coat... what colour are your calipers?

Calipers are 'stock metal' - I'm waiting until I get the rims done to do the calipers. The white rims do look nice on the blue, but with everything else on my car being dark, I think it would look out of place.

Canadians actually know how to spell, eh? ;) And why is it always assumed that it's a guy?? Check the name in the sig... j/k

Here's a pic of my OLD rims. They have since been replaced, but the new ones aren't on yet, so I don't have any pics of them on the car. A lot of other stuff on the car has changed since this pic was taken too,.....no more graphics, and lots of new toys. But anyway, I'm just posting this so you can see white on blue.

The file is pretty big, so I'm just going to link to it

Man, that looks sweet! Be sure to post some pics once you get your new rims on. I'm curious to see them.

White with blue looks Bad ass just kinda wak to clean and keep white in my opinion...but also how much is it to powdercoat rims lets say MSP rims? sorry to kinda get off topic but...yea rock the White or Gunmetal :D

i know it's not a great pic for comparing colors, but check this out. i think the gunmetal w/polished lip would look sweet on your blue pro.

Don't know what prices are like in your area, but there's a shop here in town (highly recommended by several people I know) that will powdercoat my rims for $125-150 each. Most other places I tried started at $200 each, and that was for re-finishing only; powdercoating was more.

I haven't seen a gold rim next to my car, but I don't know that I like it all that much. If I had the laser blue, I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

I went to the local tire shop where a buddy of mine works to get the tires taken off the stock rims today, and he made me an offer I can't pass up:
He's going to give me full value on my 16" Falkens in trade (thumb) (they have *maybe* 3000km on them);
upgrade me to 17" rims (2thumbs);
and won't charge me a penny to put the 17" Falken 512's on the new rims (headbang) .
All this will be mine for maybe $100 more than what I would have paid to get my stock rims re-done, plus I'll have my stock rims to use when I start autocross either this year or next. (10) Can anyone spell 'bargain'?? (cabpatch) :D :D

I just went from 16's to 17" falken 386's from Les Schwab and they are incredible. The handling is awesome and the ride is very comparable to stock.

I like the bronze on dark blue...or black or hyperblack.
I am having my stock rims powercoated in black as we speak. Can't wait to see them...

Nice man , can you post pics when there done?

Absolutely, I'll post pics. I should be getting them next week - he had to order the rims in and had to pull the tires from two different cities (I guess they're popular or something :) ) because there were none locally.

Now, I have another conundrum: Do I keep the stock rims for if/when I start autocross, or should I sell them? I'm leaning towards keeping them just in case, but would I be better off financially in the long run to sell them, and get a whole set (tires and rims) for autocross when the time comes?? If I were to sell them, what's a fair price? There's nothing wrong with them at all - I just wanted to fix a little of the peeling paint from around the weights, get some very minor curb rash on one of them repaired, and I wanted to change the colour of the rims.
