Rig Shots

Hi All,

I've been playing around with my camera rig this afternoon. These are the first photos from it. It's a DIY rig, but it seems to produce pretty crisp images. They are straight from the camera apart from a quick resize.

Photos were shot with my D40 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens.

Not sure what you mean, usually camera rigs like that have the big arm but are just photoshopped out in the end.


Edit:

I would love to know the stuff you used to make a DIY rig like that. Biggest fear would to have the arm or suction cup fail with a $1000 dollar camera on it..

sigma 10-20 FTMFW i want to get one some day, rig shots are just awesome. how much did u spend on the rig?

5 sec exposure at f/22....Pretty nice!!

I'll take a shot of the rig a post it up. I basically made it from bits and pieces I found laying around in the workshop at work. The main parts are two glass carrier suction caps and a 3 metre length of extruded aluminiun tube.

nice job on the shots and post process. taken at speed (engine running, etc)?
