Retro fitting homelink from RX8 to MS3?

Hey all,

Here's a stretch and hoping someone can get me a definitive answer as I've exhausted all my search engines to no avail.

Found someone over on the other side of the continent who's selling their autodim + homelink off their RX8. Besides the wiring, wondering if the mount is possible on my Sport MS3.

Oh, and I couldnt figure out which section this belonged in, so if it's in the wrong place, I'd appreciate it if a mod could transport it to where it belongs.

I'd be interested too in how much work is involved as I have the autodim w/rain sensing and I'd really love to have the Homelink option.

you will NOT be able to install that mirror on your car since you have rain sensing wipers.... the mount is just completely different and just attempting to install it WILL damage the sensor... you *have* to get the rain sensing specific mirror

Decided to pick up some audi visors w/ integrated homelink from ebay instead. Once received I'll rip them apart and install it in my head liner or somewhere on the dash or center console.
