just wait for more to get wrecked and others to disappear and things may look better...but the car will lose value for like another 10 or so years...

Hmmm

Selling a new car so soon after a purchase is not going to garner the best price and you will always end up with a sizeable amount of depreciation.
Too bad he had to sell but maybe who ever it is, is doing well enough that they can take the loss and buy some PHAT chunk of
psycho car to cruise those pearly white beaches in.

Personally I LOVE MY Luscious Nubian MSP!

$15,000 isn't too bad. Most cars drop around $5000 as soon as you take them off the lot.

AMC motor?

"Technically, the DMC-12 is a solid automobile, powered by a rear-mounted, 130-horsepower Peugeot-Renault-Volvo fuel-injected, aluminum, 2.8-liter V-6 engine with a Bosch K Jetronic fuel-injection system. It sits on a Lotus-designed, double-Y, backbone-frame chassis and features independent four-wheel suspension. It has a wide, 62-inch track, and its front wheels are an inch smaller in diameter to minimize oversteer and offer better overall handling. The DMC-12 purrs like a kitten yet runs like a scalded dog. There's no doubt this car was engineered for the driving enthusiast. "

My friend had one painted yellow in high school.

Hehe, 130 hp scalded dog...

One of my friends used to work in a shop and a customer came in with a DMC. It needed a tuneup, so after he finished working on it, he told the customer that his flux capacitor needed to be replaced. The guy actually believed it! You'd think that everyone has watched Back To The Future in some point during their life.

Oh ouch that hurt so bad... Try internet searches.

ever thought of international date (aka british) format?

09/05/03 = 5/09/03 :p

Why are you posting your question twice? Why are you posting a question, which does not make any sense, twice, for that matter?

"Why are you guys so suprised that the Mazdaspeed Protege is going for that price"
That gives me the impression that you're accepting the fact that it has a low resale value, but wait there's more!#@
"I thought that the car would be worth more than that"
Now, maybe it's just me because it's 12am here, but, that seems as though you think it'd have a *high* resale value.
